DIY of the Week: Glitter & Burlap Place Settings

If you’re looking for a fun DIY project to take your next dinner party to the next level, look no further. These burlap and glitter place cards will wow your guests and help them find their seat! Here’s the DIY from Typically Simple.

Supplies
Burlap
Card stock
White Sharpie
Small Clothespins
Glue or Mod Podge
Paint brush
Glitter

Directions
Brush on a layer of Mod Podge, sprinkle on some gold glitter, and then add another layer of Mod Podge. You only need to glitter the front of the clothespin since that will be the only side showing. Allow to dry for 30 mins. If you don’t have Mod Podge, white glue would work just as well!

Use a Silhouette Cameo to cut the card stock into a leaf shape, or simply print a template to use. You can also hand draw your shape. Next, cut a piece of burlap slightly larger than your leaf.

Using the white sharpie, add each person’s name to the side of each leaf. Then clothes-pin the leaf and burlap together…and that’s it!

These would be very simple to customize by matching the card stock color to your napkins or centerpieces. You could even do a variety of fall colors. Or even non-traditional colors to match your plates. Whatever you choose to do, these place cards are easy to make!
